About

Cresthill offers three classes of instrumental music - two bands and one orchestra. All ensembles perform multiple times per school year, and consist of combined 7th and 8th grade students. Students from both groups have auditioned and been invited to perform with the annual Douglas County MS Honor Band and Orchestra. Go Cougars!

Bands

Cresthill band consists of 50-60 musicians and are open to students of all ages and ability levels. Our bands combine for several concerts a year, including one music festival performance in the spring. In the spring of 2018, Mr. Zach Barker directed the first CMS Jazz Band consisting of students from both classes which met after school.

Orchestras

The orchestra consist of between 30-40 string musicians and is open to students of all ages and ability levels. Our orchestra performs several concerts a year, including one music festival performance in the spring.
